Sewing for Myself: Raglan Sleeve Sweater

As promised, here is the other shirt I sewed for myself recently.  This one is a long-sleeved top in the style of a sweatshirt.  I used a bright pink Hacci sweater knit that I purchased from Fabric.com (it is much brighter than the picture at fabric.com would suggest - my pictures pretty accurately represent the color as it appears in person).  The pattern I used is the Easy Tee Raglan Sleeve pattern from It's Always Autumn.

Sewing for Myself: Boatneck Top

Tangible Pursuits: Sewing for Myself: Boatneck Top

I have been doing some more sewing for myself, lately.  I love the zip up hoody I made last month, but I needed some shirts too. I bought some stretch ITY jersey knit fabric (apparently no longer available) from Fabric.com.  The fabric is very smooth and silky, with a good amount of stretch.  I love the turquoise in it and the fact that it would go well with navy or black.

Hanging Letter Sorter: Free Tutorial and Pattern

Spring is finally here, although, in my part of the world, it doesn't really feel like it yet.  Nevertheless, in honor of spring, and spring cleaning and organizing, I have a free pattern and tutorial for a hanging letter sorter.

Seaside Summer Top as Pajama Top

Tangible Pursuits: Seaside Summer Top as Pajama Top

As promised, here is my pajama top variation on the Seaside Summer Top.  I have written a tutorial for it, in case you want to make your own.  But first, you will need the pattern!

I used flannel for this top.  In addition to the materials listed for the pattern, you will need a small amount of a contrasting fabric for the facings as well as some piping in a second contrasting color (I used less than half a package of pre-made piping for this 2T top).

Schoolboy Vest Pattern Review

I had the opportunity to test the Schoolboy Vest pattern from Sew Much Ado.  It is a fully lined vest with real or faux welt pockets and back ties.

I made one for the big kid in a black wide-wale corduroy with a yellow satin for the lining.

Seaside Summer Top

Recently I had the opportunity to test the Seaside Summer Top by Chelsea from GYCT Designs.  I made one for the little guy and I love how it turned out!  It is a quick sew and adds some variety to the boy wardrobe.

Grey Twill Pants with Jeans Styling

Tangible Pursuits: Grey Twill Pants with Jeans Styling

So, I actually started these pants during KCW in January and finished them shortly after - I just haven't gotten around to getting photos and posting about them until now.

I used a grey cotton twill fabric that I got as a remnant at a local fabric store.
